School and City Elections are combined and held in November of odd-numbered years. A City election is used to elect the Mayor and Council Members and any other elected city officials. A School Election is an election to select School Board members within the district.
Tuesday, August 24 - First day to request an absentee ballot by mail.
Thursday, September 16 - Candidate filing ends.
Thursday, September 16 - Auditor's Office open until 5 pm.
Saturday, September 18 - Absentee ballots shall be available for transmittal to uniformed and overseas citizens.
Tuesday, September 21 - Candidate withdrawal deadline.
Tuesday, September 21 - Deadline for objecting to candidate filings.
Tuesday, September 21 - Auditor's Office open until 5 pm.
Monday, October 4 - Deadline to petition for satellite voting locations.
Wednesday, October 13 - First day to mail out domestic absentee ballots.
Wednesday, October 13 - First day to vote absentee in person in Auditor's Office or at satellite location.
Monday, October 18 - Pre-registration deadline.
Monday, October 18 - Deadline to request absentee ballot by mail.
Monday, October 18 - Auditor's Office open until 5 pm.
Friday, October 29 - Auditor's Office open until 5 pm.
Monday, November 1 - Last day to vote absentee at Auditor's Office.
Monday, November 1 - Auditor's Office open until 5 pm.
Tuesday, November 2 - City/School Elections. Polls are open from 7 am until 8 pm.
Tuesday, November 2 - Absentee ballots must be received by 8 pm to be eligible for counting, except for uniformed and overseas voters and "Safe at Home" voters.
Tuesday, November 9 - Board of Supervisors certifies election at official canvass.
